1st Meeting - a new concept is born

Today we all met for the first time, to discuss how to go ahead with our venture. Everyone was excited about the business idea, and we put together a basic plan to get the company started.

Our vision is to save old Japanese houses like No-ka and Kominka from the wrecking ball, by buying them up together with surrounding land. We will then renovate and modernise the houses, using German ideas and design, to create a comfortable and relaxing, but yet modern interior. Once the renovation is complete, ordinary Tokyoites can rent the house for a weekend or to spend their "Natsu Yasumi".

Why would anyone want to stay in our house, rather than at a fantastic Ryokan or Hotel resort? Its simple: No matter how much you spend for a hotel or ryokan, you never get space, and you are limited by all sorts of rules: dress code, the time for meals, when you take a bath, ... . It gets worse if you have children or pets. Small children and babies hate to sit in a restaurant, and clearly express themselves by crying. Pets are often not allowed even near a hotel!

With Inaka Home, no such issues spoil your relaxation. Your kids and pets are welcome, and there is plenty of space to realise your hobby: Inaka homes will typically include land up to 1,000 sqm, so you can practice Tai Chi, do flower arranging or just sit down in a comfortable armchair and listen to classical or jazz music from the provided hifi system.
